.insurance for infertility petition.

hey y'all.

i don't know if any of you have seen this, but i put a button on my blog and emailed a bunch of people. it is a petition to get insurance companies to cover infertility. since money should NOT stand in the way of having a family.

it would be awesome to get tons of people to sign it. it may not help us, but hopefully it can help others in the future to not have to bear such a financial burden..as if the heart-wrenching pain of infertility is not enough. love you all.

here is the link.

just curious where you got the information for that petition. I went to www.opencongress.org and looked up the two H.R bill referenced in the petition and they have nothing to do with infertility. I just don't know how valid that link is?

yeah..i checked it out. here is the link to the H.R.735 Family Building Act of 2005, and in the official summary it talks of the amendment for insurance companies to help with infertility.

http://www.opencongress.org/bill/109-h735/show

as far as the H.R.389 bill, it just talks about amending the FMLA laws that you have to have worked 1250 hours in one year to be eligible, instead of just being employed for 12 months.. not necessarily related to infertility, but good for those using FMLA for maternity leave.

hope this helps.
